Dr. Isaac Kofi Biney, Lecturer, (Legon)

Dr. Isaac Kofi Biney was educated at Tarkwa Secondary School at Tarkwa, St. John’s School in Sekondi and University of Cape Coast where he obtained B.Ed (Hons) Foundations.

He also holds a Certificate in Social Mobilisation for Health and Development at the School for Public Health, an M.Phil and Ph.D Degrees in Adult Education from University of Ghana, Legon.

Currently, Dr. Biney is a lecturer at the Institute of Continuing and Distance Education (ICDE), University of Ghana, a Tutor in levels 100 and 200 Economics at the University of Ghana Distance Education Programme, and a Facilitator of the Youth Worker’s Programme (Reducing HIV & AIDS Stigma and Discrimination through Education).

He is also a lecturer in the Commonwealth Youth Development (CYP), a Diploma course organised and coordinated by Institute of Continuing and Distance Education (ICDE), University of Ghana, Legon, teaching Module 11: ‘Promoting Enterprise and Economic Development’.

He is a coordinator of MA Adult Education Sandwich Students Seminar Papers. Dr. Biney is also the Assistant Head of Conferences, Schools and Special Programmes (CSSP) Unit at the Institute of Continuing and Distance Education (ICDE), University of Ghana, Legon.

His research areas are Community Education and Development, Management of Organisations, Small-scale Enterprise Promotion, Theories of Adult Learning, Communication in Adult Education, Population and Environment Education. Dr. Biney has currently four (4) published papers and one international research report to his credit.
