The School of Continuing and Distance Education (SCDE) on Thursday, August 28, 2025, held a farewell meeting in honour of its National Service Personnel for the 2024/2025 academic year. The event brought together the Dean, Prof. Olivia A.T.F. Kwapong, the School Administrator, Mrs. Regina Afari Boateng, the Principal Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Elizabeth Thompson and the thirteen outgoing service personnel.
In her remarks, the Dean welcomed all service persons and highlighted the importance of humility, hard work and purposeful life. Sharing her personal experience to inspire the personnel, Mrs. Regina Afari Boateng urged the service personnel to stay rooted in faith emphasizing trustworthiness as a lifelong compass to guide them beyond their national service journey.

The meeting created space for reflections, welfare concerns, and discussions on work expectations. Some concerns raised by the service personnel included: -
- Regular sessions to review progress and address concerns.
- Ensuring personnel are well resourced for their duties.
- Clarifying expectations and responsibilities within Unit
- Providing desks and designated areas for personnel.
Among the resolutions reached, management reaffirmed its commitment to supporting personnel in their roles and ensuring effective communication channels between them and their supervisors. Participants described the gathering as engaging and fruitful, fostering mutual commitment between management and personnel.
