As part of efforts to ensure continued commitment to the activities of the University of Ghana Learning Centres, the management of the School of Continuing and Distance Education (SCDE) has paid a familiarization visit to the Wa, Sunyani, and Kumasi Learning Centres from 17th -19th October 2022.

Management of SCDE pays working visit to Bolgatanga and Tamale Learning Centres

A Team from the School of Continuing and Distance Education (SCDE), led by the Dean, Prof. Olivia A. T. F Kwapong paid a two-day working visit to the Bolgatanga and Tamale Learning Centres from 15th -16th September 2022. Other members of the Team were the Head of the University of Ghana Learning Centres, Dr. Isaac Kofi Biney, the Head of the Department of Distance Education, Dr. Samuel Amponsah, the School Administrator, Mrs. Regina Afari Boateng and an Account Personnel from the College of Education, Ms. Trinity Treve.
The purpose of the visit was for the Team to meet with the Coordinators and staff and familiarize itself with the work of the Centres

2021/2022 National Service Personnel of SCDE bid farewell to the University of Ghana

The 2021/2022 batch of National Service Personnel have ended their national service successfully. In all, thirteen (13) National Service Personnel (NSP) were posted to the School of Continuing and Distance Education (SCDE), College of Education, to undergo their one (1) year mandatory national service. Four (4) of them have been given three (3) months extension to support their various Departments until the next batch of National Service Personnel are posted.

The College of Education has welcomed Prof. Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe as the new Provost. The Provost took turns to visit the Schools within the College. These meetings are necessary as he took the opportunity to share his vision with the faculty and staff of the College.

Mentoring Workshop by School of Continuing and Distance Education

The school of continuing and distance education organised a one-day workshop on mentoring for its senior members. The workshop, which was attended by thirty-eight senior members, had Prof. Jonathan Fletcher, the Ag Dean of the School of Education and leadership as the facilitator.

School of Continuing and Distance Education holds Workshop on Strategic Plan

The School of Continuing and Distance Education of the College of Education held a three-day workshop from 15th to 17th February to draw a five-year Strategic Plan for the School for the period 2017 - 2022. Members of Faculty, Student Representatives of the School and representatives of TEWU and FUSSAG participated in the workshop.
