Dr. Joseph Cobbinah, (Legon)

Dr Joseph E. Cobbinah obtained his PhD and Postgraduate Diploma in Research Methods from the University of Bradford, UK, MPhil in Educational Leadership and School improvement, Fitzwilliam College University of Cambridge, MSc Development Management from the Open University, UK and B.Ed (Hons) in Educational Management from the University of Nottingham, UK. He also holds a Certificate in E-Learning from the University of Oxford.

His areas of specialization include Rural Development, Community Development and Participation, Empowerment, Educational Leadership and School Improvement.

Dr. Cobbinah lectures are basically on Working with People in their Communities, Management of Adult Education Organizations, Programme Development in Adult Education, Psychology and Andragogy at the Institute of Continuing and Distance Education (ICDE).

Besides his duties as a lecturer, Joseph works as a Leadership and School Improvement consultant. He provides training in school improvement and educational leadership for head teachers, principals and school administrators in colleges, secondary and primary schools.

He has offered several training workshops in school improvement for Educational Institutions in many countries in Africa. Joseph also offers organisational leadership and governance training courses for chief executive offers (CEO), managers, supervisors’ and organisational workers.
