DR PHILIP MANTEY is the Coordinator at the Kumasi Learning Centre of the University of Ghana. He holds a PhD in Development Studies and a BA in Geography all from the University of Ghana. He also holds an MSc in GIS from the University of Nottingham, UK and an MPhil in Geography from NTNU in Norway. He teaches courses in Quantitative methods and analysis at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research interests lie in Climate Change, Disaster Risk Management, Natural Resource Management, Adult Education, GIS and Remote Sensing as well as in Distance Education.
